So many different ways to make money

Ever since the doctor told me that I have a diagnosis of narcolepsy I have been exploring ways to generate an income without having to drive anywhere. Even though the doctor says that he cannot tell the DMV to pull my driver’s license, he has strongly encouraged me to avoid driving as much as possible – just in case a sleep attack should hit. So now I am going to be looking at ways to make money from home. Perhaps I will be sharing some of those ways with my readers.

First off, there still is an opportunity for me to help other people earn a good income through selling life insurance, and I can earn a small fee by helping them to do so. Hopefully that will help in some small way. So far, however, that has not panned out. But that is because I have suddenly been needed to deal with some family health issues and it has been difficult to get everything done that needs to be done!

In addition, I’ve been advised that I can file for SSDI, as narcolepsy is an accepted and approved disability. And since I also have those injuries from the school bus accident that make it difficult for me to do things that require using my hands (I use Dragon Naturally Speaking software, which is huge lifesaver!) So I have filed for disability and am now in the “wait for an answer mode.” I’ve been told that I will be given an answer by August 8.

Neighbors can be problematic

We have a difficult next door neighbor, Mr. X. Mr X frequently comes over here to complain about things that most of the people who I know would not even think about. He complains about how and when we do or don’t mow the lawn. (He wants us to mow our lawn the same day that he mows his lawn – saying it will look nicer.) He complains how fast we drive up our driveway. He complains that sometimes one of us comes very close to the edge of the culvert that goes under our driveway, saying that we will crush the culvert and that will cause the ditch to overflow.

He complains about where we put our trash cans for pick-up (at the end of our driveway on the shoulder of the road, on state property, where the trash company told us to put them.) He complains that we don’t trim the weeds from the ditch beside the road (the state’s property, not ours.)

He complained to the County for having Lori’s rented storage trailer in the back yard (which apparently is a violation of County code.) After receiving a letter from the County telling me that someone had complained, I had to spend $25,000 to build a garage in the back yard so we could get rid of the trailer.

Recently someone poured sugar into the fuel tank and crank case of our really expensive commercial lawn tractor that we brought with us from Maine, and we had to take it to a repair shop. We can’t prove who did that, but we have our suspicions – we have not had any problems with anyone else since we moved here…..

Yes you CAN get life insurance if you have hemophilia

I have a brother with hemophilia, and two nephews with hemophilia. I used to have a third nephew with hemophilia, but he died from AIDS a while back because of tainted blood products received when he was just seven years old. He died when he was nineteen.
I am very fortunate to have two sons that do NOT have hemophilia, but I am very aware of the challenges that face the person who has hemophilia. Recently I discovered that there ARE life insurance companies that will cover hemophiliacs over the age of 40. Not just accidental death, but WHOLE LIFE with NO MEDICAL exam. As long as they are not in a nursing home, they will be covered. I’m fairly sure that most people within the hemophiliac community do not know that this is available.

I would like to encourage people with hemophilia to contact independent life insurance companies and ask for a quote for life insurance that requires NO MEDICAL exam. It CAN BE DONE!

Good Luck!
